Statement of Faith

GOD eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, created and continues to uphold all things. (Genesis 1:1; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 14:10, 26)

JESUS CHRIST is the Son of God. He was sent to earth by God the Father, supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. He, who is both God and Man, lived a sinless life and died a sacrificial death on a Cross to redeem mankind. He was resurrected on the third day and after His resurrection He ascended to heaven where He intercedes for His people and awaits His Father’s call to bring to heaven all those who believe in Him. Faith in Him is the only way to heaven. (Mathew 1:23; I Corinthians 15:3; John 14:6; Acts 4:12)

THE HOLY SPIRIT comes to dwell in all those who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. He leads and guides believers and reveals to them the things of God. The Holy Spirit desires to fill each believer continually with increased power to live the Christian life and be witnesses for Jesus. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4,8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31)

THE BIBLE is God’s inspired, infallible, authoritative word to mankind, sharing with us the true nature of ourselves and of God and the means by which we may have relationship with our Creator.  (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

MANKIND, created by a direct act of God, is His image bearer. We believe sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. In order to receive forgiveness we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus Christ and submit to His will for our lives. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by Faith in Jesus Christ can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty and become a “new creation”. (Genesis 1:26; Romans 3:23-24; Romans 5:12-19; Romans 10:13; II Corinthians 5:17)

THE CHURCH is the Universal Body of Believers in Jesus Christ. It is not confined to buildings, denominations or any other man- made boundaries. We believe that the church is the bride of Christ and that He is returning to take to Heaven those who have placed their faith in Him. (I Corinthians 12:13;  I Thessalonians 4:16-17)
